Procedure for Access to Data Centre




NO ACCESS WILL BE GIVEN TO ANYONE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTIFICATION, UNLESS IT IS THE EMERGENCY SERVICES WITH CORRECT IDENTIFICATION.

All requests must  use the appropriate template from the client portal and submitted through the support system, support@astutium.com.  Access details will be confirmed by Astutium.

On Arrival Visitors must supply photo ID and ticket number of the access request.

On entering the building the visitor will be requested to sign in and will be issued with a pass  for their specific areas.

The visitors will be given a brief induction covering:-

  • Fire /Terrorist evacuation procedure.  (exits and location of alarms)
  • Accessing restricted areas.
  • General Health and Safety issues such as working with electricity (overview) and  working at height, Hazardous material handling.
  • Using the correct Personal Protection Equipment and issued with any as necessary.
  • First Aid
  • Toilets,
  • Kitchen area/food and drink preparation and consumption
  • Tool availability.

They will be issued with a Health and Safety Card which they will be requested to tick in the signing in book to show they have received the induction.

There will be a formal handbook available should they require.

Once the visitor has received their induction they will be requested to tick the signing in book and this will be noted for future visits.

Once shown to the data floor and to their rack/suite the visitor may be left to carry on with their work.

On leaving the premises the visitor will be requested to hand back any tools they have used and the access key.
