How to Add an Admin/Update Notification Email to FreePBX




If you want to be notified by FreePBX when updates are available to be installed, you need to set the admin module notification address.

FreePBX even tells you this on the 'news' when you login, however the instructiosn are 'lacking' any real details ...

Auto-notify is turned on by defuault, so all that's missing is knowing how and where to add the email address:

  • Login to your FreePBX Admin Panel
  • Select Admin > Module Admin
  • Click on the 'shield' top right
  • Enter your email address

If you don't see the shield (with optional gecko image) first update your PBX to the latest fixes and then force-refresh the admin pages in your browser
