24. How to create a MySQL database

This demo assumes you've already logged in to Plesk

Now let's learn how to create a MySQL database

1) Click the Databases icon

2) Click Add New Database

There currently aren't any databases listed here in this account, so let's go ahead and create one

3) Enter a name for the new database here

4) Leave the database type set to MySQL.....

5) Then click OK

6) Click Add New Database User

Success! The new database customers has been created

We now must add a new user to the database.....

7) Enter a username and password for this new database user

8) Click OK when finished

The new database user has been created, as you can see here

You can edit an existing user's password by clicking the username.....

..... or you can delete an existing user by checking this checkbox.....

..... then clicking the Remove Selected icon here
